Celebration of 10 years of Disway and conference on "Travelling without barriers" in Lipo.ink in Liberec

On Monday, 27 November, we visited Ústí na Labem and presented the activities and members of the Network without Barriers during another workshop.

The conference hall of the Academy of Sciences was filled to capacity. The mission of our Barrier-Free Network is to connect people and organizations from different fields.

We are repeatedly appealing to you with the announced petition for an increase in the care allowance in all levels, which was announced by the National Health Insurance Fund of the Czech Republic. Thank you very much in advance for your very active involvement in this action.

On Friday 22 September, the final conference of the European Mobility Week took place in the main hall of the Regional Office of the Ústí nad Labem Region. We gladly accepted Mr Slavik's invitation to this conference and we consider our participation as a pleasant duty.

Those who have never been to Krásná Lípa and its surroundings should quickly make amends. We have this area pretty well mapped out.

We will not be idle this year either. We want to continue our activities and plans to make disabled travel more and more barrier-free.

On Wednesday 11 January 2023, as the Association for the Support of Disabled Travel, we met with our German partners in Zittau.

In the German town of Seifhennersdorf, the final workshop of the Travelling with Disabilities project took place, culminating many months of work in mapping and making new routes accessible for wheelchair users and other people with disabilities.

At the last of this year's workshops on the topic "Travelling with disabilities in the Czech-German border area", all participants met in the German town of Seifhennersdorf, in the Upper Lusatia region. It was in the beautiful guesthouse Windmühle Seifhennersdorf.

The final workshop will take place at the Bildungs - und Begegnungsstätte Windmühle Seifhennersdorf. We talked about the Windmühle Education Centre, its history, its interesting form and what it offers to disabled visitors with Mr. Markus Kranich, M.A. President of the association.

This was the main topic of another workshop, which this time took place in Rothenburg/O.L., Germany.

The House of Bohemian Switzerland in Krásná Lípa was one of the places we recently mapped and now it was the venue of the workshop "Barrier-free nature parks"

On 20 September 2022, the Disabled Travel Association attended the press conference "Travelling with Disabilities" in Herrnhut, Germany.

We were convinced that Grabštejn Castle can be visited by wheelchair users at the workshop "Barrier-free monuments, vision or reality?"

The picturesque mountain town offers a wide variety of experiences of all kinds and you don't have to be afraid to visit it even in a wheelchair!

One of our other mapping destinations was Hrádek nad Nisou with the Kristýna lake and also Trojzemí, a place where the borders of three countries - Bohemia, Germany and Poland - meet.

Thanks to our involvement in the project of mapping barrier-free accessibility for disway.cz, my mother and I recently found out that there is a barrier-free bus from Harrachov to the famous Zlaté vrchší (Golden Hill) near Vrbatova bouda and close to the Hanč and Vrbata Mohyla.

Our mapping team got to Grabštejn Castle in the past few days, the castle is still used as a base for soldiers, so we recommend to make an appointment with the castellan in advance - she will arrange a tour for you. The castle and the military area can be bypassed, but this route cannot be recommended for the physically challenged.
